Good Morning, All!
I really, really, really am loving these American Paint Company products!  The paint glides on easily, dries fast, and is oh so easy to distress!  My goal for the barn sale (don't forget...September 12, 13 and 14) is to have at least one piece painted in each of the 32 glorious colors. It might be as small as a picture frame, might be a piece of furniture. I'm calling this little painting project PROJECT 32.  I've been working at it for awhile now, and the pieces are starting to accumulate!  First though, I wanted to share a color chart.  I will have quarts as well as samples of each of these colors available for sale.

This chart is missing two new colors that the company has just added, Uncle Sam, which is a pure white, and a wonderful deep, dark blue, Born on the 4th.  I can't wait to get my hands on the blue....I'm a blue fan!  And, APC has a lot of blue to choose from!

I just wanted to show you a little preview of some of the pieces we will offer for sale...I've even got chick Sharon on the painting bandwagon now!

This little smoking stand was painted in Rushmore, then waxed with several coats of dark wax to give the appearance of a long ago painted piece.

This nightstand has a Blue Jean base, topped with Wild Horses.

Love the way this dresser is turning out. I'm patiently waiting for Doug to make two shelves for me, since I tossed the larger drawers and thought I'd display quilts or blankets on the shelves.

One more piece...this little dresser came from our "Cambridge pick". It's a really small size, but I thought it would be a nice piece for a bathroom or nursery.  It's got Amber Waves of Grain under, you got it, Rushmore!  Think I'm overdoing the Rushmore?

Okay, I'm done showing off!  Make sure you stop into the PLAY WITH PAINT room, it will be in one of the downstairs stalls.  We will have paint available, as well as inexpensive furniture just waiting for your imagination and your paintbrush!!!

Hope you have a great day!

Good Monday morning to you all!!!  I was just deleting a few pics from my camera and realized I didn't post a pic of this beautiful barn door.  We have a few barn sale customers that scramble to get the barn doors when we have them, and for the September sale, I think we will have enough for all of them to be happy.  I went to an on premises estate auction recently and scored a bunch of cool primitive farm stuff.  These accessories always complement a primitive decorating scheme, but ESPECIALLY complement fall decorating schemes.

I can picture this door in a breezeway or on a porch, with a bittersweet wreath, and pumpkins and mums all around. Such a pretty fall addition!
A lot of people use barn doors inside the home, too.  I've seen them in a corner as a backdrop for a nice vignette, turned on the side used as a headboard, and topped with glass used as a table top.
I have one nice lady who always makes the trip from her store in Lewis, De who uses them in her store to showcase a cute outfit or dress...what a great idea!
Anyway...we will have plenty of barn doors...if you are interested in one, make sure to get there early for the best selection!
Have a great to ya later!

Hey, Barn Sale Buddies!

Hope you are having a great summer.  Sharon and I have been sweating away, trying on a regular basis to work toward the BEST SALE YET.  We have been on quite a few "picks" and really gotten some great stuff.  We both are trying to attend our regular sales, though I have been less than faithful to Crumpton until this past Wednesday.  But, good ole Crumpton sale didn't disappoint this week. I was able to snag a couple of real nice pieces that I just had to show you!

I asked our Facebook friends if I should paint the little white cabinet and they offered a resounding NO with a load of comments.  Glad I asked!

I think this work bench would make a great serving area for your holiday parties.  In fact, I like it so much, I think I will clean it up, seal it with satin poly, and use it next weekend for a family gathering outside!  I'll try to remember to take pics...and I promise, I will part with it by September  : )  !!!

Sharon has been painting, painting, painting!  You may remember this pie safe from before...too bad she didn't take a picture.  It has been in the sale a couple of times, and she decided to perk it up with a coat of paint.  I think it turned out great, don't you?  I love this ivory color and it will be paired with a gorgeous pumpkin color front and center upstairs.

This little music cabinet is new this sale, I bet it won't last long!

She also lined up all of these old sewing machine drawers.....

And spiced them up with some color.  It's been hot outside, but that's not keeping us from working to make this next barn sale the best yet!  Hope you have a great day.  We are planning to take the trailer to Cambridge to pick up a BUNCH of stuff we "picked" last week.  Stay tuned for pics!
