I must admit, I have been very neglectful of this blog in the past few weeks. Almost ever since the Christmas Barn sale, I have been busy with family events, then Christmas preparation. We started off on the Tuesday after the barn sale (the Tuesday before Thanksgiving) with company coming in for the wedding of my son, Jason, and his beautiful bride Casey. They were to here to celebrate Thanksgiving with us, then the Saturday after Thanksgiving, we had our first Christmas celebration...dinner with my siblings and our kids (and their spouses) because my sister and brother in law would not still be here when Christmas finally rolled around.
Next big event, the WEDDING! Jason and Casey were wed on the 1st day of December, and I will let a couple of pictures save me a lot of words...
It was beautiful and sweet and fun all at the same time, and I am happy to say that they have returned safely from their honeymoon, so all is well!
After the wedding, I got busy shopping and decorating. Throw in a trip with my buddy Renee and daughter Melissa and her neighbor Sarah to Ikea, a mother daughter day in St. Michaels with Melissa, a trip to Ocean City to see the lights with Doug and yes, our dog Marley, a couple of auctions, and there you have it...a BUSY month!
Melissa and Nick got here today with Molly (our grand-dog) and we are getting ready to settle in and really enjoy Christmas. Jason and Casey will be here tomorrow morning, and then the frenzy begins. We will have around 20 people here for dinner tomorrow evening before we all head out to church...to remember the real meaning of Christmas.
I hope you all have had a wonderful December, and I will leave you with a couple more pictures. What Christmas could be complete without homemade dog treats??? I will try to get back here soon, but if I don't log in again before Christmas, I hope you have a wonderful, blessed Christmas.
