I hope you and yours had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I sure did. My brother has been hosting Thanksgiving for a few  years now, and he does a great job!  He had about 20 people at the table, and he manages to get through it without seeming stressed or overwhelmed at all.  Believe me, I know what it's like to be 20 minutes from dinnertime, and have 5 people asking you questions all at once! He handles it with ease, and the food, as well as the company, was wonderful.
And since we have a load of family in town for the upcoming wedding of my son, Jason, and his lovely fiance Casey, I have already hosted our first Christmas dinner for 2012! We had an Italian FEAST on Saturday, prepared mostly by our west coast brother-in-law, and have been eating yummy leftover lasagna, chicken parm, and lamb ever since! Sure hope I can still fit into my Mother of the Groom dress! I even put up one of the trees, and we opened gifts to the sounds of Christmas music after dinner!
In barn sale news, I must report that I have done NOTHING to start getting ready for the spring sale except take leftover Christmas items to my booths.  And, I must say, as much as you DID buy, you missed a few cool things, too! Sharon helped me do a booth makeover at Goose on the Roof, and we agreed that the TOTAL primitive look that we have going on in there is really pretty.

Already, Sharon has been shopping for the spring barn sale!  She found this awesome corner cabinet this past weekend, and it is up in the barn, waiting for spring decor!

Keep checking back...we will continue to post as we buy, buy, buy for the spring sale!

Sharon and I would like to thank ALL of you who ventured out to the Barn Sale this weekend. We had a great time welcoming you to the Toys for Tots sneak peek, and yesterday was just phenomenal.  As always, we are a little sad that it is over, but also happy that we can concentrate a bit more on our families and our jobs for awhile, get ready for the holidays, and after the first of the year, we will be SHOPPING to replace all the furniture you purchased, and gearing up for spring! The spring sale will likely be mid April, and we will announce both here, and on Facebook, the dates as soon as we have them.  Please be sure to check back every now and then as we fill you in on purchases and progress.  Hope you have a lovely, family and friends filled Thanksgiving. See you soon!

It's finally here....barn sale is tonight and tomorrow...spread the word and grab your friends and family and come on over!
The upstairs is just FILLED with different styles of Christmas (traditional, elegant, primitive, etc.). If you've never been to the barn before, the downstairs is still divided into the original stalls (there is concrete on the floor though...not dirt)...the 'room/stall' themes are...A Thanksgiving Gathering, Cabin Fever, Holiday Central, Let It Snow, and A Primitive Christmas.  Can't wait for you to see it!

We Barn Sale girls have been working frantically to get ALL the gorgeous merchandise priced and placed for just the right effect...can't wait for you to see all the decorations.  Throw in lots of primitive furniture, and some really nice accent pieces, and a TON of smalls, and that's what you will see....Christmas EVERYWHERE!
We paired this sweet light green (you know, the color of ALL kitchens in the 40's!) table with two Christmas red chairs and I LOVE the combo!  Add 2 sweet mice, a red and green runner and red square plates, what do you have??? Festive!

Morning, All
Yes, I am TOTALLY GUILTY of ignoring my blogging duties for the past several days (or is that weeks?).  I was caught up in storm preparation, then just sort of got busy with life, you know.
What we haven't ignored is barn sale preparation.  Sharon was busy during the rainy days with pricing a lot of things she got at the cash and carry, and I have been painting and cleaning items for sale.  I am blessed to have a nice dry warm shed in which to work, so I made a plan before the bad weather ever got here to spend some time out there.

Speaking of the storm, I hope you and yours made out okay.  I know there were some who weren't so lucky, and the folks in New Jersey and New York sure did take a hit.

I hope you are planning to attend the sale.  In case you missed the memo, our hours are Friday evening, November 16th from 5 until 9pm, and Saturday the 17th from 9 until 6. For those of you who look for our postcard in the mail, they will be going out later today.  If you would like to be added to our mailing list, send me an email (pkpscott@yahoo.com) or give me a call at 443-521-3110.

Hope you have a great day!
