Since it is early in the day and I haven't even spoken yet, I will be a girl of few words this morning. But I wanted to show you a couple of pictures to get you thinking about the September barn sale. We worked downstairs in the room that was the "laundry room" one day last week. We turned it into the "farm room" and I think it's looking great! We still have to add lots of smalls, but it is coming along!
Wish THIS would fit in there!  Isn't it BEAUTIFUL?
Hope you have a wonderful week!

Soooo, I know this is my first post in awhile. Sorry. Sometimes, you know, life just gets in the way!  What have I been doing?  I'm not sure.  Sharon and I have worked in the barn a bit, I've been to a few auctions, we SOLD at an auction last week - don't worry, that will definitely not be replacing our barn sale fun - it was not really enjoyable, but necessary. I got a few pieces of furniture ready for the barn sale, cut grass numerous times, worked on my booths a bit, painted the bathroom (one of these days I'll share my spur of the moment bathroom remodel), and made a gazillion trips to Lowes!

I promised I'd share pics from my last Crumpton trip, so that's what you see in this pic.  There weren't a ton of awesome things in my truck on the trip home, but frankly, on that particular day, things went HIGH. And I refuse to buy things that are too high.  Sharon and I want to keep prices reasonable AND find awesome stuff for you.The one thing in the pic that you really can't see all that well that IS pretty cool is a farm table...sort of mustard color, long and not very deep.  When Sharon saw it she suggested it be up front in the barn, with the burgundy and orange grouping.  So, we are really starting to envision how things will look to you when you walk in the door!  We are planning to work up there one day this week, and I will try to get a pic when I am there.

Oh...and Sharon and Brian went to PA this weekend to buy, at auction AND at Rennigers, plus a few places we both enjoy in Adamstown. Will try to get a few pics of their finds, as well.  Hope you have a great at ya soon!

Sharon and I are really getting geared up for this year's fall sale. I think it's because we got such a good start upstairs, we are ready to dig in and DECORATE! We are so excited for you to see what we have so far, and I wanted to give you a glimpse of the postcard you will be getting in September. Do you know someone you think would like our sale and they are not loyal barn sale customers yet? Let us know and we will make sure they get a postcard!
In reality, we need to box up some junk treasures that you didn't happen to like and take them to the auction. We have space reserved for July 19th at Curtis Andrew's auction. Stop by and see what you might just be surprised!
We are also pretty excited to announce the details of the Fall Country Crawl:
WIN $ the country shoppe of your choice (Two Chicks Barn Sale, The Barn in Delmar, Scarborough Fair, or Main Street Treasures) during the Fall Country Crawl coming this September! Visit all 4 shoppes on Sept. 7, 8, 14, and/or 15... any time from 9am-5pm and be entered in a drawing for a $100 gift certificate to whichever of these 4 shoppes you choose...WOW!
Hope you are having a good week so far. I'm planning to go to Crumpton tomorrow so I'll letcha know how it goes!

Woohoo!!! We just ordered 1000 postcards for our fall barn sale. Sharon loves creating them and we can't wait for them to arrive in the mail. We advertise several different ways...obviously, this blog is one way...then there is our Facebook page, local newspapers and The Guide...and we post flyers...and word of mouth...and postcards/flyers in local stores...and we mail postcards.... So keep checking our blog and facebook page for details and updates. If you know of anyone who would like to be added to our postcard mailing list, just email their name and address. Ohhh...just had a thought (try to do that at least once a day......if YOU have a place where you think you would like to drop off some postcards for people to pick up, just holler at me and I will GLADLY get some to you...gee thanks for that!!
In other news...Sharon and I got together on one of the WONDERFUL cool days last week (where did they go? I am actually LOOKING for inside work today just to get out of this heat!) and started arranging the furniture upstairs!  We really had just planned to box up some stuff that you didn't choose to take home from the last barn sale to take to an auction.  But when I got there, we decided the weather was sooo nice we had to take advantage and work upstairs moving furniture and bringing up some recent purchases. Things are already starting to come together!  Sharon suggested using a darkbarnredalmostmaroon color with an orange chair in the front center spot and I know I might have turned up my nose at first but I have to say, the woman has got style! The two pieces look AWESOME together! There is also a gray and white corner which will be accented with bright orange...we are LOVING the orange this fall!
Hope you are having a great week and finding a way to keep cool. I'll be back soon with a few pictures...I know a post without a picture is boring!
